Humble Operations.

"We all wake up to different situations.
Different collars for our occupations.
But ever since the world's been in rotation,
it's been run by humble operations."

-Steve Moakler.

Nothing beats California weather on a day like today. 90 degree sunshine is what I'm all about. TGIF, people. And yes, I know. Since I'm on summer mode, every day is Friday to me. But let's be honest: today was totally worth it.

Also, the song of the day has not been released yet, but it's absolutely one of the coolest songs ever. When Steve Moakler performed it for us at school, I had chills the entire time. It's all about how small town living basically runs the world. I so support that motive full on. Small town suburbia is pretty awesome when it comes down to things.

Friday Five, let's get it going.

The Great Gatsby premiere was this week and the stars came out looking fabulous. Carey Mulligan painted the black carpet red with this gorgeous Lanvin number.

Degrassi did you well, Nina Dobrev. Miss Dobrev looks stunning in this black and gold metallic-covered mini. Movie star status up in here.

Mamie Gummer looks effortlessly cool in this nude dress. The messy, easy hair and nude heels add a simple polish to the ensemble.

Hate on me all you want! But Nicole Richie looks so fashion-forward in this embroidered Balmain mini. Her hair is a la Anna Wintour and those grey pumps are just plain fab.

I remember adamantly picking this look out from Fashion Week oh so long ago. Zoe Saldana looks fresh and professional in this grey Calvin Klein two-piece ensemble. So classy yet so edgy.
