Real Life.

"We find real love, get real hurt.
Fall real hard, shake off the dirt."

- Jake Owen.

In honor of the CMT Awards tonight and the start of CMA Fest, this Want Wednesday goes out to the girls of country. As I miss Nashville terribly over this next weekend, I'll make up for it by drooling over dresses seen tonight on the red carpet.

This monochrome number may be simple, but it proves to be pitch perfect (lol I heart punz) on host Brittany Snow. Plus, I'm such a sucker for those strappy stilettos. [courtesy of E! Online]

She may not be my favorite female in country, but Jana Kramer killed it in this gorgeous emerald ensemble. Slits and cutouts were definitely worth the risque (I should be a comedian). [courtesy of E! Online]

White was the hottest trend on the carpet and Carrie Underwood brought that trend to life with a bang. For her debut look post-baby, she looks STUNNING in this embellished mini by Thomas Wylde. Get it, girl. [courtesy of E! Online]

Yeah Boy.

"Blue jeans and a ball cap.
Thinking that you're all that,
and I'm thinking the same."

- Kelsea Ballerini.

Thinking about Tune Tuesday, I have been desperate to find new music lately. I wouldn't say that I'm in a rut, but sometimes it seems a tad much listening to The 1975 or Sam Hunt for the millionth time. I've heard a lot about this new girl and how she's replacing the bubblegum-teen girl country spot Taylor Swift left open for pop music. And with that in mind, this new tune by this new artist definitely does the trick.

If you don't want something catchy and cutesy stuck in your head for the next week, don't listen. But this song is the best sort of infectious and I will totally be singing along to it every chance I get. I love me a bit of sassy country with a pop twang to it.

Plus, it's CMA Week. Why wouldn't I be listening to country music nonstop?!

Fun.

"Live a little.
F. U. N.
Fun."

- Pitbull & Chris Brown.

For those of you that don't know, I love this little British reality drama show called Made in Chelsea. Alright, let me admit: I'm a tad obsessive over this show. It fills the void that The Hills left and for that, I am eternally grateful.

After hardcore binge-watching the show while living in Chelsea last semester (coincidence, I think not), I have caught up completely onto this new season and my obsession now that I'm back home has become even greater. While I'm not really going to update you on what's going on or any plot twists coming, watching it has made me come to one conclusion.

I MISS LIVING IN CHELSEA MORE THAN ANYTHING.

No, I didn't hit up the same eateries or shops they go to on The King's Road, but even seeing S.W. 10 on some of the street signs make me long for the blustery days and pub-crawling nights. It seems almost foreign to me the fact that I can't actually walk out the door and head over to the places I see on my laptop screen. While that once used to be a possibility, it's now just a future plan I have to dream about.

Boo, this post got sad real quick now.

But honestly. I miss Chelsea. I mean, I miss London as a whole. But after keeping up with the show in America, I realize how great I had it while living abroad. Living in one of the poshest, richest neighborhoods for the same amount as living in Nashville at university? PRICELESS. Really, though. So worth every penny.

Guess I'll just have to reminisce as I live vicariously through their relationships and drama. If only I indulge on a coffee from The Bluebird as I do it...

Super Bass.

"This one is for the boys with the boomin' system.
Top down, AC, with the coolin' system."

- Nicki Minaj.

Starting on the first day of June, I entered what I am calling my cleanse month. To clarify, I am NOT on a juice cleanse, thank you very much. I may be from California, but I refuse to participate in that whole LA lifestyle. Too posh for me.

Update on the cleanse: the worst thing I've eaten in the past four days is a Digestive. Okay, I've have four in three days. But still. For me, this is a huge development. And to top it all off, I've worked out every single day.

The biggest shock of all? I feel really good!

Of course, I hate my life when I'm at the gym and I'm constantly hungry for junk food. Nonetheless, my body feels fresh and I'm actually beginning to understand why some people enjoy feeling the burn. Wow, those are words I never thought I would say. Gettin' all crazy.

I know I still have practically the whole month (at least) to go, but so far, so good. I think I can make it for the next 26 days. I hope I can.

No, I'm not going to document my before and after pictures even though they would be great indicators for this whole workout plunge. But as long as I like how I look and feel, that's all I care about.

That's what should be what anyone cares about when it comes to someone else's fitness level and body type. How they feel. Not how anyone else in the world says that you're supposed to look or feel.

I'm doing this for me and that's all that matters. I'm good with that. I'm more than happy with that. It makes me have more of an incentive and drives me more than anyone else's words could mean to me.

You do you and I'll do me. Got it? Good.

(P.S. I don't know why I just went on a rant/tangent, but oh well. Gets some point across that I've felt at one point or another. So, there's that.)

One Last Time.

"One more time.
I promise, after that,
I'll let you go."

- Ariana Grande.

I recalled something else as I went to write the blog last night. WANT WEDNESDAY IS HERE AGAIN, PEOPLE. Let's do this thing.

Memorial Day Weekend is the symbol of the start of summer and that means only one thing: summer clothes. This pinstripe co-ord look is like Taylor Swift's take on Hampton cool. Although years have come and gone, my love for high-waisted anything will never die. Especially if paired with a matching crop top. This look right here is #goals and there is no denying that.

Trouble.

"Opposites attract, I guess this is that.
Good girl, bad guy.
What a perfect match."

- Iggy Azalea & Jennifer Hudson.

Remember Tune Tuesdays? Because for a second, I did today. And I'm bringing them back. Too much good music coming out and it deserves something like this.

To start it back up, I'm bringing this incredible collab. I don't think I've heard a fresher jam than this in a while. I mean, Iggy meets J.Hud? It's bound to be a hit.

Where Are U Now.

"Where are you now that I need you?
Couldn't find you anywhere.
When I broke down, I didn't leave you.
I was by your side."

- Justin Bieber, Diplo & Skrillex.

If this isn't abandonment, I don't know what is. Because this blog is empty and I admit it is all my wrongdoing.

I have excuses galore, from non-stop intern work to visiting all my friends who have come home finally (!!!!). Nonetheless, it's time to get back on this grind of the daily fill-in because let's face it: I miss this A LOT.

Long story short: I've been busy and things are good. Not much crazy news to discuss or lay down right now. But as of June, I've decided to start my summertime routine of healthy eating, regular exercise, daily blogging and getting as much as sun as physically possible. Plus, I have so much free time that why wouldn't I be writing every day like I used to? It seems stupid not to.

So, I'm back, baby. And here for the long haul. Sorry about the delays and mishaps. I'll get better in time, I promise.
