Brave.

"Say what you want to say
and let the words fall out.
Honestly, I wanna see you be brave."

-Sara Bareilles.

Monday. How I dread thee. Especially when I know the next four days are going to be hell.

I don't even really have time to write this. I'm procrastinating. Like, I have fifty billion things to do before Friday night. And even then, my life doesn't stop.

Ain't no rest for the wicked.

Annie I Owe You A Dance.

"It's no surprise
the light in your little girl's eyes
shines like the ring of your hand.
Annie, I owe you a dance."

-Tim McGraw.

While I head into quite the stressful week, I'm scared of what all it holds. But I'm at such a crossroads. I don't wanna care about school for the last month. I want to enjoy my spring here and live for the good stuff. You know eating bad foods at restaurants and going to overly expensive concerts and moving into my new townhouse. But then, school matters. And I need a good GPA. And I want to succeed and get far in life. WHY DOES MY FAVORITE MONTH HAVE TO BE RUINED BY STUPID CLASSES.

April is the time of my birthday. My mom's birthday. My best friend's birthday. Easter. Southern spring. Dead day. Roadtrip after finals. The easiness of finals. Fall scheduling.

Do you see how school is not on that list? Okay, great. Samesies. SO WHY IS IT A THING.

15 more days of class before finals. 15 days of pure awfulness.

Let's keep our fingers crossed about my school survival rate.

Love Is An Open Door.

"Our mental synchronization
can have but one explanation.
You and I were just meant to be."

-Frozen.

I promised myself I would not get sucked into this movie. I love Disney and all, but some of the princess movies are just not my thing. After all the hype, I had no intentions in giving a care about that movie and I still hold somewhat true to that. But...oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm saying this...the soundtrack is SO ADDICTING. Literally, it's stuck in my head all the time. ALL THE TIIIIIME.

Especially this video. Again, I never wanted to like it. Heck, I never wanted to see it. But it's just too darn catchy. Goodness gracious. My life, man. It's weird.

Take Me Home.

"But I still stay cause you're
the only thing I know.
So won't you take, oh,
won't you take me home?"

-Cash Cash.

Can you say proud co-leaser of a townhome in Music City?! Cause that's what I am now. Boom. As much as I loathe grown-up life, some things are really great to celebrate! Paychecks, new homes, hotel rooms.

Ah, living the good life despite the stress of school. So much to do and so little time to do it. 33 days is not enough to finish each syllabus, pack up my room, move to the townhome, square away the road trip details, take finals and work. Now I get what they mean when time flies faster when you're older.

A Woman Like You.

"You know I get sick deep-sea fishing
and you make the best fried chicken.
I got a hopeless golf game.
I love the sound of your name."

-Lee Brice.

On repeat all day long. As much as I wish I could break the stereotype, my love of country music has only increased since moving to Music City.

Don't you think it's time for a Want Wednesday? Well, I do. One: because I love clothes and fashion and all that good stuff. Two: I need something to distract me from the wall I've hit called academic advising. Literally, WHY MUST I MINOR IN SOMETHING.

This quirky confection plays the powder blue card to perfection. I'm all about a loose shift dress this spring and this odd outfit really speaks volumes in my heart. I mean, all eyes would be on you with this one, eh? Yes, all pun intended.

Magic.

"And I don't, and I don't, and I don't, and I don't
No, I don't, it's true.
I don't, no, I don't, no, I don't, no,
I don't want anybody else but you."

-Coldplay.

In the depressing wake of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow's split, this Tune Tuesday is kind of contradicting. I've grown to love this song slowly but surely, and although it's a departure from the rad sounds of Xylo Myloto, I love the simplicity of this one. I mean, not a lot of words, not a lot of beats. But a whole lot of raw passion.

Classic.

"Ooh girl, you're shining
like a Fifth Avenue Diamond."

-MKTO.

Downhill slope sounds like sophomore slump to me. Five weeks. Take it one day at a time and the end of April will be here in a flash.

Can't wait to jam out to this song during the summer. The windows down, the Raybans on and the vibes all good.

Chloe (You're The One I Want).

"If only you could believe
in yourself  in the way
I believe in you."

-Emblem 3.

My mom is going to hate me for this next Pinning post. But something about the Calvin Klein underwear line coming out of cutoffs just looks so cool on Vanessa Hudgens. Her outfit is a California breeze, crop top and all. Maybe I'll never pull the sagging shorts look like her, but she looks so on point for a chill day.

Swimming Pools (Drank).

"Some people like the way it feels.
Some people wanna kill their sorrows.
Some people want to fit in with the popular,
that was my problem."

-Kendrick Lamar.

This song is one of the reasons I stand up for rap music. From first listen, most people think this is a rad drinking song. Oh, contraire. Kendrick is talking about the effects of alcoholism and how that addiction will kill you if you let it take over your everyday life. He's advising kids to stay away from drinking and that it's hard to do so when peer pressure gets you away from your mindset.

Thanks, Kendrick, for sending a great message to kids through the negatively connotation rap music typically has. Thanks for this Tune Tuesday.

Too Late.

"I look into your eyes,
diving in the ocean.
I look into your eyes,
falling."

-M83

The new baby is coming, the new baby is coming! Hooray hooray! I'm so excited to meet my new nephew and see his cute little face. Ah, I can't believe he's already here. I still remember the surprise phone call by the pool at Grandma's that we would have another new baby in the family.

Also, Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you Irish out there. I'm not sure if I'm Irish or not, but with my mom's maiden name being Clover, that may be the giveaway.

For a Monday, it's been a good one. And I'm thrilled to see what the rest of the week holds in store.

Fader.

"And I pledge myself allegiance
to a better night sleep at home."

-The Temper Trap.

This video was made by a great friend of mine who I am so inspired by every day. She is running right toward her dream and I swear to you, she's going to make it big soon. She is just a wonderful light that I had the pleasure of meeting in the first month of freshman year. I can't wait to see where she goes and how much she will accomplish in the months to come.

Gotta love Megan Phillips.

Free Fallin'.

"I wanna free fall
out into nothing.
Gonna leave this
world for awhile."

-Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

What did you do with your Saturday? Sleep in late? Eat brunch with friends? Go to some crazy parties?

Well, I jumped out of a plane. For real.

And it was the greatest thing I think I've ever done in my whole entire life. Indescribable and completely worth everything.

I am invincible.

Propellers are scary.

Ride or die.

Cloudy with a chance of skydiving.

Go, Erin, go!

My last view before the jump.

Float on.

I'm like a bird...

I only fly away.

SO. HAPPY. EEK.

Double fisting.

What up.

The best. No doubt.

Dazed.

National Anthem.

"Money is the anthem
of success.
So before we go out,
what's your address?"

-Lana Del Rey.

First week of the downhill half of the semester complete. If only all weeks could go this smoothly for the next month and a half. So close yet so far.

That being said, Friday Five is here. And side note: this may be the last post I make on here.

But fear not. I mean that in the most dramatic of ways. I'm jumping out of a plane tomorrow. Parachute and all. But still, you never know about skydiving.

Anyways, back to the point. Friday Five. Lately, I'm missing the days of Miley's bun because her style was so on point. Bring back those clothes...and that hair.

Love the flannel. Love the crop top. Love this look.

I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby. Listen to Iron Maiden with me. Yep, rocking it.

If you haven't already, please wear boyfriend jeans. The most comfortable way to look cool. Trust me. Add some heeled clogs like Miley and boom. Good to go.

Switch out the kicks for some pumps and we're in business. Love me a good floral jumpsuit.

Maximize the flannel to maximize the radness. Leather boots and a jacket to match bring the look to the next edge.

Heels Over Head.

"And it makes me think about you
with the sand in your feet.
Is it all you thought it'd be?"

-Boys Like Girls.

Time for some Want Wednesday going on. I'm telling you, for the past about six months, I've wanted everything in Kylie Jenner's closet. She's the perfect amount of edgy meets cool and puts her own California twist on everything. Maybe you all aren't in favor of her family or her attitude, but her style is so on point for me as of late.

Today, she was in Miami with her sisters to premiere the new DASH store and I could not be more obsessed with her light brown overall jumpsuit. A crisp, cropped tee keeps the look clean and even though I'm not a huge gold heel fan, these pointed pumps kill me.

Kylie, you killin' it, girl.

She Looks So Perfect.

"Simmer down, simmer down.
They say we're too young now to
amount to anything else."

-5 Seconds of Summer.

I can't believe it took this song to make me love the band I saw open for One Direction. These Aussie boys break the pop-punk mold to make their own Down Under style come to life. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I've literally been singing this song for the past seven days straight. It's just so addictive and I don't even know why.

Can't wait to see these boys this summer open for my other boys again.

Welcome to Tune Tuesday with 5SOS.

Big Poppa.

"I love it when you call me Big Poppa.
Throw your hands in the air,
if youse a true player."

-Notorious B.I.G.

Long live the days of Spring Break 2014. It's been one of the greatest weeks of the year so far and I wouldn't ask for anything else. Living the California dream, complete with a beach trip and some In-n-Out, makes me the happiest of girls and although Tennessee is calling my name, I will long for the days of sunshine and Mexican food to return to me.
