Timebomb.

"Now she's spraying that champagne,
all over the crowd.
She's living for the moment."

-Iration.

Hoy es Viernes! Hoy es Viernes! Viernes es hoy! Woo woo.

And with that comes the Friday Five.

New favorite Youtuber alert: Zoella. She is British and fabulous and quite simply brilliant. She makes me just want to live in the UK and steal her entire closet. From her Peter Pan collar collection to her disco pant hoarding, she has it all. AND I NEED IT ALL.

What did I tell you about her collars and disco pants, eh? Kicking it uniform style with some black leather booties and a jumper to match. (Picking up on the UK slang, right?)

These daisy trousers are everything. With a black beanie slouching, it all goes together and gives the best of both worlds: girly and rad.

POLKA DOTS AND DROPWAISTS, OH MY GOODNESS. And those shoes? Let me just raid your closet for everything good and worthy in the fashion world. K thanks.

Although half of the picture is cut off, the snapback kills me in this schoolgirl look. A little bit of doily goes a long way. Plus the hat says Tumblr. Umm...yes.

Her best advice to survive the coldest of London winters? Layer upon layer upon layer. If I look as pretty as her in that boyfriend coat and pom-pom beanie, I'll take her word for it.

Good Girls Go Bad.

"I heard that you were trouble,
but I couldn't resist."

-Cobra Starship feat. Leighton Meester.

Bringing back one of the best oldie-but-goodie tunes right here. This jam was the epitome of every junior high gymnasium dance, back before I knew Leighton Meester was queen of Constance and not just some random poser. Also, side note: pop punk will never die in my awkward preteen heart. NEVER.

PS: Video by Fueled By Ramen. Ah, the golden years.

Problem.

"Head in the clouds,
got no weight on my shoulders."

-Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea.

My new favorite jam. I don't know what it is about Ariana Grande, but her songs hook me faster than I can even think. And I mean, come on. Iggy Azalea is the biggest up-and-comer to hit the scene as of late. And I always go after those cool new artists on Top 40 radio. So sick.

Meanwhile, it's Friday. Friday. Gonna get down on Friday.

And that means it's time for some Friday Five. Let's see what I can find in store for this week's best looks.

It's summer time and the living is easy. Which for me, means the fashion must match the attitude. Translating that over to my logic reads to be flowy dresses and short everything.

Can I just go to Santorini in this cotton confection and pretend my life is the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? Buying a ticket to the Mediterranean ASAP.

Forever a California girl when I see perfectly pretty hippie dresses. A white sheer tunic piece, such as this one above, are delicate yet gorgeous. Easy, breezy, beautiful, that's for sure.

Eyelet and paperbag and tan skin, oh my! A dream come true in this monochrome ensemble. Especially due to the quick fact that this look can be dressed up for a classy party or throw some espadrilles on and make it such a cute and cas outfit.

And I'll go back to black...always, darling. My addiction to the darkest of hues remains true in this loose-meets-leather look. I'm all about those edgy summer jaunts.

Who still pretends it's the 90s and ties shirts around their waist? MEEEEEEEEEE. And this nautical denim outfits looks like the cutest way to just throw something on during a heatwave. Phew.

Birthday.

"We're living the life.
We're doing it right.
You're never gonna be unsatisfied."

-Katy Perry.

Shout out to Katy Perry for being my girl. Representing SB County. WHADDUP.

Also, it's been a long while since a Want Wednesday. Let's kick that back into gear, shall we now?

Praise you, Blake Lively. All week at Cannes, she nailed every single look. From her beautiful, flowy maroon gown to her sparkling Chanel, this number right here was the best dressed for me. Legs for days and a glowing smile match perfect with a white mini confection such as this. And those simplistic nude heels? TO DIE FOR.

A Sky Full Of Stars.

"Cause in a sky full of stars,
I think I saw you."

-Coldplay.

Hate all you want, but Coldplay just slays me with their music. Everything they create is in a whole other category. Total legends.

This song does no less and is probably one of my absolute favorites by them. The more Target advertises the album with this song in the background, the more I need to buy it NOW.

What a great departure from Xylo Myloto into something new and better. Cheers, guys.

Alone Together.

"I don't know where you're going,
but do you have room for one more
troubled soul?"

-Fall Out Boy.

BBMA. You were good. Really, it was alright. Besides the awkward Kendall Jenner mishap to the uncomfortable Michael Jackson hologram, everything went chill.

Here are a few of my favorite looks of the night:

Man, she feels like a woman. Long live the queen, Shania, in this long-sleeve black number. Doesn't look a day over 35!

She's still Jenny from the block. This sheer red confection is sultry perfection on the Bronx diva. Once a fan of J-Lo, always a fan of J-Lo.

Despite her rather embarrassing moment with messed up intros and not good reader excuses, Kendall Jenner still takes the cake for me on this look. The revealing white halter connected to the sparkling navy trouser give a whole new meaning to modern classic. Va-va-voom.

Balmain meets Chanel, much? Sarah Hyland keeps prim and proper while putting the shimmering Vegas sequins to the test. Seems to me she always knows how to be a stunner.

M.O.N.E.Y.

"I can't believe
that we're talking about him."

-The 1975.

Pretty sure this British band is taking over my whole entire life and I have no problems with that whatsoever. I may have no idea what Matty's singing half the time, but it's catchy and cool and that's all I care about.

So tonight, I was reunited and it feels so good. My best friend is home for the summer and the living will be easy. That's for sure. I mean, we already have begun to plan out our dream lives to know the future in 5 years. And boy, do they both look great?

If only dreams came true all the time. Then, we'd be living it all.

Also, here's Marcel the Shell. The only other thing I really care about right this moment. Or every waking moment for that matter. He makes me smile...cause it's worth it.

HEHEHEHE.

I Like It Like That.

"Call a taxi, pack the backseat.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
If you're with me,
let me hear you say..."

-Hot Chelle Rae.

It's been a long time coming for a new Friday Five. And um, hello. I never analyzed the MET Gala. Important stuff right here.

Best looks of the night:

WE ARE NOT WORTHY. WE ARE NOT WORTHY. Blake Lively looking more perfect than ever (um, when is she not?!) in this sparkling champagne Gucci Premiere gown. Bowing down to the modern old Hollywood glamour girl.

Wise and beautiful beyond her years, that's for sure. Hailee Steinfeld never ceases to impress me with her impeccable red carpet styles. And this black-and-white hourglass number by Prabal Gurung is no different. Maturity looks best on her.

This, right here, is what the MET Gala is all about. I don't care what theme it is and I don't care what season we're in; Karolina Kurkova made me fall back in love with Marchesa all over again in this navy floral dress. Origami angles and structured sections rule this red carpet.

No wonder David Beckham married her! Posh spices up the event, looking white-hot in her own piece. Never underestimate a Beckham and their gorgeousness. They will completely trump everyone ever in the history of everything. Promise.

No wonder why she was chosen as the co-host with Anna Wintour herself. SJP rocked the class Oscar de la Renta gown with glamorous gloves and a full bodice skirt to boot. Feeling like Carrie Bradshaw is truly her spirit animal in this moment...

Hanging On.

"You know we can get away
because I'm calling your name."

-Ellie Goulding.

I'm in a music rut. In my opinion, that's the worst kind of pit you can find yourself in. I love the music I put on repeat but it's time to break away and regroup with some new classics. Over the past year, I have come to be obsessed with how cool Ellie Goulding is. She's not your typical pretty and she's not your average voice. She just has this sick vibe to her that I cannot help but get hooked on to.

Basically, I just want to be Ellie Goulding. Plain and simple. Cause she's pretty rad.

Helluva Life.

"And pennies make dimes
and dimes make dollars
and dollars buy gas
and long-neck bottles."

-Frankie Ballard.

So many people get to live the dream. But as I drove to the beach today, I couldn't help but think I'm stuck in that stereotypical phrase. And it feels SOOOO good.

I mean, let's be honest. How many people would give anything to drive north on PCH in 95-degree weather with the windows rolled down and the radio cranked up? To step over people's boundaries, a lot would totally kill for that. I promise you. There is nothing like the sparkle across the deep blue Pacific Ocean with the smell of summer in the air.

I'm one lucky kid, I'll tell you that.

Super Rich Kids.

"Super rich kids
with nothing but loose ends.
Super rich kids
with nothing but fake friends."

-Frank Ocean.

I blame Nikki for this addiction. She did this to me and she deserves to be called out for ruining me with this song.

Too dope.

Here's the Tune Tuesday that's been a long time coming. After listening to this slow rap for the hundredth time, it deserves a shoutout. Thanks, Frank Ocean. And Nikki, I'll get you back with some One Direction. Challenge accepted.

Hey Mama.

"Hey lady,
don't say maybe.
You're the one
that I can believe."

-Mat Kearney.

Here's to all the moms. The ones who give us life from the very start. The ones that wipe our snotty noses and clean up our messes. The ones that talk to us from babbling to heart-to-hearts. The ones that make us smile wider and act brighter.

Our biggest fans. Our secret keepers. Our enthusiastic coaches. Our greatest teachers.

And to my Lady, you are my best friend. Forever and ever.

(Don't say the maybe.)

West Coast.

"Down on the West Coast,
they got a saying.
If you're not drinking,
then you're not playing."

-Lana Del Rey.

Prom is the one time where everyone looks pretty. From boys in bowties to girls in gowns, the elegance is spread for all to explore. Although the best night of my life is now just a memory of my past, I vicariously lived through some of the bests to experience that feeling all over again. And might I add, I was quite jealous throughout their backyard photoshoot.

It's very, very weird to think that was me a whole two years ago. Sure, it sounds short. But as I watched those high schoolers figure out poses and boutonnieres, I couldn't really imagine being there. Being them, matter of fact. I guess you could say I'm mature...but it's really the idea that my time has gone and these moments are for the ones who haven't yet left the glory days of passing periods and lunchtime rallies.

Side note: I feel like every post I write on here now is either sentimental or mature. That will be fixed in the next few days. Promise.

Fancy.

"Trash the hotel.
Let's get drunk on the mini bar."

-Iggy Azalea.

Long time, no see. But don't you worry about my short-lived abandonment. Summer just swept me off my feet and I was falling back in love with my life again. No big deal.

For the past two weeks about, I have spent my days with packed scheduled filled with endless car drives and countless sing-a-longs.

I traveled over 2000 miles with one of my best friends. We danced. We sang. We laughed. We talked. We gossiped. We ate. We shopped. We tanned. We slept. We dreamed.

Together, we made the best of overly burnt skin and empty bank accounts. We indulged on extreme calories from cake and steak and Starbucks galore. We were famous (ahem) in a small town.

The Southern belle and the California girl pretended we were Rodeo Drive worthy and sipped on margaritas (virgin, might I add) poolside. We were waking up in Vegas and looking to the right to see the Hollywood sign. We drove through Oklahoma where the wind blows, sweeping down the plain. We went walking in Memphis...well, to our hotel room in Memphis I should say.

But after too much Frank Ocean and too little Gossip Girl marathons, Nikki has made her way back to Nashville. Leaving me here, alone, to reminisce on what the summer has already brought to me.

And after kicking into my favorite season, along with the new decade of my life (WATCH OUT TWENTIES), I can safely say everything started with a bang.

I can't wait to see what's in store. In a week, in three months, in six years.

I'm so down.
